…was a highlight of my walk today, where I greeted a few of the circa 250 cat residents of some of the oldest temples in Rome, now the site of an organized urban cat refuge where they are fed, cared for and protected in the inaccessible recesses of ruins dating from 300-400 BC and the site the assassination of Caesar in 44 BC.
