…are some of the old friends whose work I am especially jazzed to see at the show this year – just opening tonight – like Dawn Kasper<\/a>‘s studio relocated to a gallery where she will work, nap, hang-out, receive the public, and generally occupy (who performed two of her “Evil Series” murder enactments at Sundown Salon<\/a> events in 2003 – first at Salon #6 in the garden for Pipilotti Rist’s Instant Installations<\/em><\/a>; and later at the Schindler House for Salon #9: Sundown @ Schindler<\/em><\/a>); the installation and May 20th fashion show<\/a> of K8 Hardy<\/a> (who did a performance as the bobcat<\/a> for Animal Estates #1 at the 2008 Biennial<\/a>); and Wu Tsang’s Silver Platter<\/em> room and Wildness<\/a><\/em> feature film…plus plus plus eager for LaToya Ruby Frazier <\/a>photos, Laura Poitras<\/a> film, Charles Atlas sets, Oscar Tuazon<\/a> installations, Michael Clark<\/a> dances…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
