colorful first light from the east

…graces the east windows of the dome – where I am sleeping these days – a sunrise that is new to the house – previously blocked by the tree that fell in the wind storm – though revealing another tree – a super spindly tall pine that had shot straight up to find light above the fallen carob tree – now seeming like a strange unnecessary exaggeration of growth, but a reminder of what used to be there.
