…was the order of the day as we prepare for a weekend planting of Edible Estates #12: Budapest in Wekerletelep – so I sketched away the morning on garden diagrams and plans in preparation for an evening meeting with the family at their home, and then spent the afternoon at an organic (an unusual and novel concept here) plant nursery that employs a really sweet group of local mentally handicapped folk (wearing snappy blue overalls that I really want to garden in too) situated in the most bucolic Hungarian wooded valley just minutes from our Buda home at Blood Mountain Foundation, which we returned to with a few carloads of currants, gooseberries, raspberries, basil,thyme, marigolds, nasturtiums, lovage, rosemary, mints, cucumbers, tomatoes…
