On June 20th, 2012, PLANTING DOMESTIC INTEGRITY FIELD GARDEN AT MOMA…

  Domestic Integrities

planting of Domestic Integrity Field Garden A1 in the MOMA sculpture courtyard

…this steamy hot morning with Annie Novak (of Growing Chefs and Eagle Street Rooftop Farm) and the youthful energetic Williamsburg gardening squad from Roberta’s Garden – is comprised of a 10′ diameter circular mounded planting bed of medicinals, herbals, edibles, and plants for pollinators along with locally scavenged branches and boulders from McEnroe Organic Farm and Suko Presseau – and installed in the museum sculpture garden – which will grow through the summer and fall while being continually harvested of resources to supply the fall museum presentation of Domestic Integrity Field Part A-1 – a continually expanding crocheted rug of discarded textiles upon which local “Domestic Integrities” from the garden will be displayed and continually changing.
