…for the eleven Salmon Creek Farm structures became complicated when I tried to name each one after the communard who either built it, or was most associated with it, but only those with fabulous sobriquets would do (or in some cases real names that have nice associations, i.e. Dawn & Walden), so now we have: Cedar, Dawn, Hawk, Huckleberry, Moonlight, Rainbow, River, Salmon, Walden, plus Orchard – since that’s where it is – and Carpenter, for poet/radical hero Edward.
