foggy Salmon Creek Farm orchard

…of any size this season, and apparently for a few years, is headed to us on the Northern California Coast today, and having heard lore of winter storms past and recent warnings from locals and neighbors: “Are you ready for the storm?” and “Batten down the hatches!” has me wondering what to expect (8″ of rain? overflowing creeks and tributaries? 60 mph gusts on ridge tops? falling trees and branches? power outages?) and how to prepare, beyond the obvious…I’m not in LA anymore.
